Meet the Founder

ASI Ukpo Comprehensive Cancer Centre is the legacy project of late Brig. Gen. Anthony S. I. Ukpo (Rtd.). As a cancer survivor himself, who also lost three siblings to cancer, he was determined to build an oncology hospital of the highest standard for people in his home state.

After an impressive military career, he continued to play an important role in society. Brig. Gen. Anthony Ukpo was an industrialist with varied interests in hospitality, agriculture, manufacturing, property development and healthcare. He was a recipient of several awards and honours, including Honoris Causa degrees from the University of Calabar, and Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma in Edo State.
